This artwork started with a question: Where do I belong to? Which one is my country?, when I am here - I am there, and when I am there - I am here.
These questions evoked to me the emotions of a person pivoting between two spaces. Therefore I decided to materialized Ayel's story (a girl from Sudan) between an open space and a landscape contained inside a mirror. Ayel appears holding a This element-space that evokes a possible imaginary country or nation that only exists mythically, a metaphor for a suspended land that is still empty and in which souls and identity may be eventually re-located, a space that traps the memory of a land that has disappeared and attempts to re-construct itself.
